IRCell: Venture with Google Android

As you may or may not already know, Google recently released Android, an operating system for mobile phones which is designed with the developers in mind. The first time I actually heard about it was the day it was released. Before that I simply thought Google was working on a hardware device formerly known as the gPhone. Excited about the prospects of being one of the first developers for something that will naturally become the "killer app" of mobile devices, I immediately thought of a project that I knew would be useful to myself and, likely, many others. That idea came to be known as IRCell (eye-are-sell), an IRC client for your cell phone.

After setting up the IRCell Project and watching the videos on Android's YouTube website, I focused on developing an interface. The basics are complete but obviously there is much to be done and many improvements to be made. I hope others help improve this project as I am very limited on time while trying to juggle studies, sports, and my job.
